*This event invites core members and any guests they would like to bring to the end-of-the-year BBQ.
**The meal will be pulled pork. At the BBQ there will be a donation jar present to help cover the expenses of the BBQ. People are asked to consider making a donation if they can, but we understand if some can’t.
Core Members will gather at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr, Regina for a fun evening! Drinks and Supper will be provided!
**If attending, please RSVP how many people are coming.
When you RSVP please provide the following information:
- Emergency contact phone number for the evening of August 22nd.
- Phone numbers of staff who are on this evening (we understand that sometimes there are staffing changes so if there is a change for another contact person for that afternoon please provide us with the phone number as soon as you can!)
- How many people are accompanying you?

What: A family and friends come-and-go BBQ to celebrate the end of summer!
Date: August 22, 2024
Time: 6 pm – 8 pm
Location: Candy Cane Park (501 Wascana Drive)
Paratransit: If taking Paratransit please have drop off at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr, Regina, and please arrive no earlier than 5:30pm. Pick up at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr, Regina and please no later than 8:30 pm.
Please make sure you RSVP to: eventsupport@beingastonished.com by August 15th! As well, please send your paratransit times by August 20th.
****Weather conditions are unpredictable – our general rule of thumb is to postpone an outdoor event if the percentage of the chance of rain/storms is 40% and higher with no indoor space readily available. We will typically make the call no later than 2 hours before the event – please note that weather conditions can change suddenly so a call may be made closer to the time of the event start time. In the case of sudden inclement weather, we ask that families/group homes work to secure transportation home for their Core Member at the event. Astonished staff will work with families and group homes to assist in making the arrangements*****
