Welcome to week 5 of Big Sky Summer Adventure! For our fifth event on Monday, July 13th, we will be going to Wascana Park (2405 Legislative Dr) to have enjoy a picnic in the park and paint!

Please RSVP and provide the following information by July 6th:

Emergency contact phone number for the evening of Monday, July 13th.

Phone numbers of staff who are on this evening (we understand that sometimes there are staffing changes, so if there is a change for another contact person for that afternoon, please provide us with the phone number as soon as you can!

*** Paratransit: Please note that we require Paratransit bus times or transportation details to be provided a minimum of 4 days before this event. Please provide these details by Friday, July 10th.

What: Paint and Picnic in the Park
Date: Monday, July 13th
Time: 6 pm – 8 pm
Location: Wascana Park (2405 Legislative Dr)

Paratransit: If you are taking Paratransit, please have your drop off at Wascana Park (2405 Legislative Dr), and please arrive no earlier than 5:30 pm. Pick up will also be at Wascana Park (2405 Legislative Dr), and please have your pick up be no later than 8:15pm.

To RSVP for the event, please email eventsupport@beingastonished.com by July 6th! As well, please send your paratransit times by Friday, July 10th.

***Weather conditions are unpredictable and there is no accessible indoor space or shelter at Wascana Park. Our general rule of thumb is to postpone an outdoor event if the percentage of the chance of rain/storms is 40% and higher with no indoor space readily available. We will typically make the call no later than 2 hours before the event. As weather conditions can change quickly, we kindly ask that Core Members have an alternate transportation or pickup plan available in the event of unexpected inclement weather. If weather conditions shift rapidly, we encourage group homes and support teams to be prepared to arrange pickup or a safe ride home, as there is limited shelter available at Wascana Park.

*** Please note that at the present time Astonished! Staff and volunteers do not provide personal care (washroom needs).
