SUMMARY:A! BSOA Campfire Night
DESCRIPTION:Core members will gather on Monday\, August 10th\,  at Glencairn Park (1426 Brown St.) to have fun roasting campfire snacks and playing outdoor games! \nPlease confirm the following RSVP information: \n\nEmergency contact phone number for the evening of Monday\, August 10th\nPhone numbers of staff who are on this evening (we understand that sometimes there are staffing changes\, so if there is a change for another contact person for that evening\, please provide us with the phone number as soon as you can!\n\n*** Paratransit: Please note that we require Paratransit bus times or transportation details to be provided a minimum of 4 days before this event. Please provide these details by Friday\, August 7th.  \n  \nThe Details:\n \nWhat: Campfire Night \nDate: Monday\, August 10th \nTime: 6 pm  – 8 pm \nLocation: Glencairn Park (1426 Brown St.) \n\nParatransit: If you are taking Paratransit\, please have your drop off at Glencairn Park (1426 Brown St.)\, and please arrive no earlier than 5:30 pm. Pick up will also be at Glencairn Park (1426 Brown St.)\, and please have your pick up be no later than 8:15 pm. \n  \nTo confirm your RSVP for the event\, please email eventsupport@beingastonished.com by Monday\, August 3rd! As well\, please send your paratransit times by Friday\, August 7th. \n  \n***Weather conditions are unpredictable and there is no accessible indoor space or shelter at Glencairn Park. Our general rule of thumb is to postpone an outdoor event if the percentage of the chance of rain/storms is 40% and higher with no indoor space readily available. We will typically make the call no later than 2 hours before the event.  As weather conditions can change quickly\, we kindly ask that Core Members have an alternate transportation or pickup plan available in the event of unexpected inclement weather. If weather conditions shift rapidly\, we encourage group homes and support teams to be prepared to arrange pickup or a safe ride home\, as there is limited shelter available at Glencairn Park. \n  \n*** Please note that at the present time Astonished! Staff and volunteers do not provide personal care (washroom needs). \n\n***It is very important that you RSVP for events\, as we use the RSVP list to communicate any weather-related cancellations\, schedule changes\, or important event updates. \n\n\nTo kindly confirm your RSVP\, please email eventsupport@beingastonished.com and confirm the following information: \n\n\n\nName of the activity/event\n\n\nName of the Core Member attending\n\n\nWhether the Core Member will be bringing a companion/support person\n\n\nMode of transportation\n\n\nEmergency contact information for that particular day\n\n\nAny important health information\, medical information\, support needs\, or allergy information\n\n\n\n  \nWe hope to see you there!! \n  \n\nFor contact details for BSOA: \nEmail: eventsupport@beingastonished.com \nSaydi: (306) 531-3590 (Day of event or Tuesday – Thursday 9 am – 4:30 pm) \nSophie (306) 552-8943 \n\n\nThank you to the City of Regina for a Social Development Grant – Annual Activity to partially support the work of the Astonished!
