SUMMARY:The Big Sky Summer Adventure Program - BBQ in the park
DESCRIPTION:*This event invites core members and any guests they would like to bring to the end-of-the-year BBQ.\n**The meal will be pulled pork. At the BBQ there will be a donation jar present to help cover the expenses of the BBQ. People are asked to consider making a donation if they can\, but we understand if some can’t. \nCore Members will gather at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr\, Regina for a fun evening! Drinks and Supper will be provided! \n**If attending\, please RSVP how many people are coming. \nWhen you RSVP please provide the following information: \n\nEmergency contact phone number for the evening of August 22nd.\nPhone numbers of staff who are on this evening (we understand that sometimes there are staffing changes so if there is a change for another contact person for that afternoon please provide us with the phone number as soon as you can!)\nHow many people are accompanying you?\n\nThe Details:\nWhat: A family and friends come-and-go BBQ to celebrate the end of summer!\nDate: August 22\, 2024\nTime: 6 pm – 8 pm\nLocation: Candy Cane Park (501 Wascana Drive) \nParatransit: If taking Paratransit please have drop off at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr\, Regina\, and please arrive no earlier than 5:30pm. Pick up at Candy Cane Park – 501 Wascana Dr\, Regina and please no later than 8:30 pm. \nPlease make sure you RSVP to: eventsupport@beingastonished.com by August 15th! As well\, please send your paratransit times by August 20th. \nDownload the brochure \n****Weather conditions are unpredictable – our general rule of thumb is to postpone an outdoor event if the percentage of the chance of rain/storms is 40% and higher with no indoor space readily available. We will typically make the call no later than 2 hours before the event – please note that weather conditions can change suddenly so a call may be made closer to the time of the event start time. In the case of sudden inclement weather\, we ask that families/group homes work to secure transportation home for their Core Member at the event.  Astonished staff will work with families and group homes to assist in making the arrangements***** \nThank you to the City of Regina for a Social Development Grant – Annual Activity to partially support the work of the Astonished!
